BLOODY MARYS! – The Great Brunch Debate

(Full Irish Breakfast included with Ticket Price)

Pack up that hangover and join the ‘Angry Chef’, Anthony Warner, author of ‘Bad Science’ and the ‘Truth about Health Eating’ as he debunks food faddism over brunch.  Joining Anthony is Mark Forsyth, author of  ‘a complete history of drunkeness’  where you can learn ‘how why, where and when humankind got merry from the stone age to the present’. Comedian Jack Barry will also be present to add his own particular form of humor as he talks ‘drugs’ not taking them but the antiquated laws that he believes surrounds them. Bringing a more rounded and lived-in experience to this discussion is Alice Leahy, a director and co-founder of TRUST (est. 1975) now the Alice Leahy Trust. Alice is also a writer and lecturer and a former member of the Irish Human Rights Commission and former nurse. She has received a number of awards over the years for her work with society’s most disadvantaged people. Overseeing this motley crew is comedian and broadcaster Abie Philbin Bowman.  Join us at  Gallagher’s Boxty House for a tasty brunch (not a avocado latte in sight) and a freewheeling debate on drink, drugs, fad diets and personal responsibility.
